The Garden of Hope

| The Carpenter Shop found at
the west entrance to the Garden simulates the type of shop in which Jesus
worked as a boy. The tools in the shop are from Nazareth and
are hundreds of years old. They were gifts to the Garden from
David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel. Leroy Coates,
a Covington artist, painted the large mural on the wall of the shop.
Also in the shop are two flags: one Egyptian (Out of Egypt have I called my Son") a gift of Gamal Abdul Nasser, former President of Egypt; the other, a flag of Israel by the Israeli Ambassador to the United States. |
